TPEE(熱塑性聚酯彈性體)是含有聚酯硬段和聚醚軟段的嵌段共聚物。其中聚醚軟段和未結(jié)晶的聚酯形成無定形相聚酯硬段部分結(jié)晶形成結(jié)晶微區(qū),起物理交聯(lián)點的作用。TPEE具有橡膠的彈性和工程塑料的強度;軟段賦予它彈性,使它象橡膠;硬段賦予它加工性能,使它象塑料;與橡膠相比,它具有更好的加工性能和更長的使用壽命;與工程料相比,同樣具有強度高的特點,而柔韌性和動態(tài)力學(xué)性能更好。
TPEE的硬度可以從邵氏30-82D,其彈性和強度介于橡膠和塑料之間。與其它熱塑性彈性體相比,在低應(yīng)變條件下,TPEE模量比相同硬度的其它熱塑性彈性體高。當(dāng)以模量為重要的設(shè)計條件時,用TPEE可縮小制品的橫截面積,減少材料用量。TPEE具有極高的拉伸強度。與聚氨酯(TPU)相比,TPEE壓縮模量與拉伸模量要高得多用相同硬度的TPEE和TPU制作同一零件前者可以承受更大的負(fù)載。在室溫以上,TPEE彎曲模量很高,而低溫時又不象TPU那樣過于堅硬因而適宜制作懸臂梁或扭矩型部件,特別適合制作高溫部件。TPEE低溫柔順性好低溫缺口沖擊強度優(yōu)于其他TPE,耐磨耗性與TPU相當(dāng)。在低應(yīng)變條件下,TPEE具有優(yōu)異的耐疲勞性能且滯盾損失少,這一特點與高彈性相結(jié)合,使該材料成為多次循環(huán)負(fù)載使用條件下的理想材料,齒輪、膠輥、撓性聯(lián)軸節(jié)、皮帶均可采用。
